1. Last night's concert with the very talented Dorking Chamber Orchestra was a wonderful experience for Janet and me.

   The Guarnerius must have had many virtuosi players over the centuries, but now we have a virtuosa to match any of them. Julia, you made it sing in a way that was astonishing and, at times, deeply moving. Mozart would have been grateful to you. We also thought that your co-soloist was outstanding. Have you played with him before ? ... It seemed like an instinctive partnership.

   We shall never forget the evening, and I shall treasure the CD with your kind inscription.

   Here are some of the photos I took ... I will send shots of the orchestra separately.

   I will then put them all on to CD ... so if, Eun-Young and John Weiss, you could email me your home addresses, I will post one to each of you.

   With all best wishes from us both for your future, Julia and thanks for giving us such a wonderful memory, Murray.

4. Hi Julia

   What a privilege to hear you perform the 3 pieces last night at the Old Cliftonian's reunion at Clifton College! Your 2 standing ovations were very well deserved, and I admit that your brilliant playing brought a tear to my eye. I completely adore Monti's Czardas having heard it played as part of 'Gypsy Carnival' at Clifton in 1980. Piazzolla's Tango was outstanding.

   I was also one of Richard Crabtree's students back in his early days at Clifton in 1977, though his time was wasted on me - at least he has a whole different calibre of material to work with in you.

   I'm delighted to have had the chance to hear you play. Go girl - you rock! All the very best for your future.

5. Dear Julia (if I may call you that),

   I attended your concert last night and you were absolutely wonderful. Warmest congratulations! I didn't want to intrude but now regret that I didn't try to meet you afterwards.

   I have emailed my friend the conductor Jiři Bělohlávek about you, though he has probably already heard of you!

   I'm an old man, 77, but a music lover, which has I think helped to keep me young at heart. Hearing you was an inspiration and gave me enormous pleasure. I know Robert Telian as I support the local Music Academy. I will try to follow your career on the internet and wish you every success and happiness.

   I have to say, I've listened about an hour worth of interpretations here on YouTube, and this one is my very favorite; and we've got versions of amazing violonists, but nothing as perfectly musical, as passionnate as this. Technique doesn't matter, seems that age doesn't either: only the music does. Miss Hwang, you can be the very best if you want to, and frankly I hope you do.

   Keep on!

7. 정원아 ! 축하한다. 좋은 소식을 들려줘서 ..... 정원이가 지난번에 교회에서 연주를 할때 너무 감사했단다. 아빠와 엄마와는 이 아저씨가 조금 친해^^ 인터뷰하는 대견한 모습도 좋다. 정원이가 영국 간지가 얼마 안된것 같은데 .... 아주 훌륭하게 성장을 하고 있는 모습이 좋다. 하나님께서 정원이의 갈길을 알려주시리라 믿는다. 이 아저씨도 뮤지컬을 만드는 직업을 가지고 있는데 개인적인 시간들을 많이 포기해야 할때가 있어서 정원이의 마음을 아주 조금은 안다. 엄마에게도 안부 전해주고 준형이 오빠에게도 안부 전해주라. 아빠는 주일날 교회에서 뵙고 있단다. 황정원 아자아자! 하나님의 은총이 언제나 정원이에게 임하길 기도한다.

8. 정원아.. 윤주언니 엄마 기억하지? ^^

   너의 좋은 소식들..네가 그곳에서 얼마나 기특하게 잘 자라주고 있는지 잘 듣고 있단다.

   대견하고 기특하고...알쥐?

   아무튼 네가 하는 분야에서 최고가 되기까지 쉽지 않은 시간들을 걸어가야 하겠지만

   하나님은 네가 가장 잘 할 수 있는 것, 또 네가 가장 좋아하는 길들을 주셨으리란 생각을 해 본다.

   그것이 음악이라면 그것들을 충분히 즐기면서 감사함으로 잘 걸어가길 기도해.

   늘 네 뒤엔 하나님이 함께하시고 지켜보신다는 믿음으로 힘내구...

   울 정원에게 화이팅을 보낸다...

   그리고 다시한번 좋은 성적 거둠..또한 축하하구...

9. 정원이 안녕?

   나는 아빠가 하늘가족으로 있는 나들목교회의 사당가정교회 목자란다

   오랜만에 아빠가 서울에 오셔서 정원이의 기쁜 소식을 한아름 안고 오셨더구나

   음악에 있어 한국인의 위상을 세계에 떨치고 있는 정원이가 자랑스럽구나

   목표를 향해서 꾸준히 가고 또한 그 분야에서 최고가 되기 위해서

   개인적으로 참아야 할 일들이 많이 있겠지만 그 뒤에는 기쁨과 보람이 클터이니

   이 모든 일에 최선을 다하는 정원이를 기대한다.

   건강하구 또 실력못지 않게 예쁘게 자라려므나.

   아빠가 정원이 홈페이지를 소개해줘서 이렇게 들어와 첫인사를 한다.

   즐거운 날 되길 바랄게^^*

10. 사랑하는 딸 정원아

    이번에 너와 한달간 있으면서 연주를 잘하기 위해 너가 얼마나 수고하는지를 보았다.

    아빠는 너가 지금이라도 음악을 그만 두고 다른 것을 한다고 하더라도 말리지않겠다.

    그러나 음악을, 바이올린을 계속하려면, 너가 하고싶은 다른 많은 것들을 포기 해야하고,

    하루에 몇시간씩 연습해야 한다는 너의 말을 듣고, 아빠는 너가 대견하기도 하고 또한 안타깝기도 하단다.

    이제 너가 바이올린을 계속하기로 결정했으니, 너가 즐거운 마음으로 하기를 바란다.

    또한 너에게 그러한 달란트를 주신 하나님을 항상 잘 믿으며, 감사하는 마음을 갖기를 바란다. 너의 바이올린 연주 소리를 통해 사람들에게 감동을 주며, 하나님의 사랑이 전달되기를 바란다.
